A proper application of Weights and Measures practices is critical in order to ensure that there are clarity and certainty about measures used, to protect the producers and trader, and proper revenue collection for the government. This report studies the effects of an under-resourced Weights and Measures Agency (WMA) and highlights the potential of the WMA to be a significant revenue generator if properly resourced.
