Similar organisations for supporting the private sector exist in neighbouring Kenya, as well as the West African countries of Nigeria and Ghana. In September of 2012, BEST-AC hosted a conference which brought together these organisations. Discussions revealed common challenges, including how best to work with business associations, government, donors and other partners.
